This Privacy Policy explains how BrainSpark Kids ("we", "us", or the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. BrainSpark Kids is an educational game designed for children, with features intended for use under the supervision of a parent or guardian. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address (for email sign-in), a public display name, and the sign-in provider you choose (Email, Google, or Apple). Guest play uses an anonymous identifier with no email. | To create and secure your account and save your progress. |
| Gameplay data | Puzzle results, scores, stars, hints, achievements, streaks, and per-game statistics. | To save progress and show stats in the App. |
| Usage & analytics | Coarse, non-identifying events such as which screens are viewed, puzzles started/completed, achievements unlocked, and sign-in method (guest, email, Google, or Apple). | To understand how the App is used and improve it. |
| Device & technical data | Device type, operating-system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and advertising identifiers used only for non-personalized ad delivery and fraud prevention. | To keep the App stable, compatible, and to serve ads safely. |
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or a child's exact birthdate. We do not knowingly collect a child's real name for display to others; display names for children are auto-sanitized (for example, BrightStar42).
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob only. All ad requests are configured for a child-directed, general-audience ("G"-rated) experience and request non-personalized ads only. We set child-directed-treatment and under-age-of-consent flags on every ad request. We do not allow behavioral targeting, interest-based advertising, or retargeting. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework or access the IDFA for tracking.
Ad formats: banner ads on game screens, occasional interstitial ads after gameplay, and optional rewarded video ads (user-initiated only, for in-game hints).
For more information, see Google's AdMob child-directed apps guidance and advertising policies.
We use Firebase Analytics (by Google) to collect coarse, non-identifying usage events. Firebase Analytics collection is turned off while no account session exists (for example, on the welcome screen before sign-in). After a user starts guest play or signs in, collection is turned on for coarse usage measurement only.
We do not send personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or precise age as analytics parameters. We do not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) for analytics.
We rely on the following third-party services. We do not sell your data.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. See the Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers and on your device. We apply reasonable technical safeguards, including access rules that restrict your account data to you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the App (or from the Profile screen when signed in). Deleting your account removes your profile, gameplay data, and results from our systems. You may also contact us to request deletion or a copy of your data.
BrainSpark Kids is designed for children and is offered in app stores as a kids / family-appropriate educational app. We do not collect a child's exact birthdate. We do not display children's real names to other users.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, or you wish to review or delete your child's information, please contact us at gsandreasyan@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.
For users in the United States, we follow applicable children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), where they apply to our collection and use of information.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where applicable (for example, under the EU GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, or delete your data and to object to certain processing.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
